Meet Jamal Hudson

My name is Jamal Hudson, and I'm a young author, entrepreneur, and creator who believes that a single idea can become something much bigger.

My journey as an author began at the age of 12. I started with a blank page, an idea, and a dream, without knowing exactly how to turn that idea into a finished book. I began researching, learning, writing, and developing my skills. Over time, that first idea became a growing collection of stories and a brand built around creativity and imagination.

Each book represents a different part of my journey as a writer. From mysterious stories to new worlds and unforgettable characters, I enjoy creating stories that give readers something to discover.

My journey also led to the creation of Once Upon a Kid (OUAK) and OUAKLY.com, where I'm continuing to build my vision beyond books. I've worked on everything from publishing and packaging to branding, merchandise, and marketing.

But this journey isn't only about the books. It's about proving that your age doesn't have to stop you from starting something. I started at 12 with very little knowledge of how the publishing world worked. I learned along the way, kept creating, and continued turning ideas into reality.

My goal is to keep writing, keep building, and encourage other young creators to pursue their own ideas and dreams.

The story is still being written — and this is only the beginning.
